News flash: I saw it snow today, October 2, 2003!
Hello everyone! Fall is in full swing in Vermont. I've decided that early fall is the prettiest time of year, with the possible exception of the white Christmases regularly had. At this time, the colors burst all around us with a collision of brilliant summer colors and autumn harvest colors. I should carry my camera to snap a few images to show you what I mean. October this year brings change to us as we leave our Jay home and move to Westford, VT. Westford is a beautiful town of population 2000 and is quite close to Essex Junction and Burlington, and our home is two miles from a golf course! If I didn't live in VT and told you our home has 4 acres, I might think that was a lot, but around here people have 40 and 100 acres normally. Still, the house is situated to overlook meadows and mountains, providing gorgeous views.
We've been on DSL in our Jay home, but no such luck in Westford. It may be a while before we establish a service, therefore I've set up a temporary yahoo ID and I'll access it when I can. That addy is listed above. Incidentally, I'm on AIM as crystalrosiecat.
Shelburne Museum is an outdoor museum located in Shelburne, VT, just 20 minutes north of Middlebury. Anna and I often stop there for a few spins on the 80 year old carousel on our way home from our Grandmummy visits. Midweek there are usually more staff than visitors, so we have the run of the place. The parking lot is lined with apple trees, and they're free for the picking. Right now there is a special quilt exhibit entitled "Eye of the Needle", sponsored by my favorite quilt store, Quilter's Courtyard.
Congratulations to my brother, Mark for being awarded his second Emmy award as Director of The Simpsons. The award was for Director of the episode entitled "Three Gays of a Condo".
